Frequently Asked Questions

What Happens at the Initial Session?

The first session is an assessment, which provides an opportunity to discuss your current issues and to ask questions. If you decide you would like to continue you will have a regular counselling slot at the same time each week if that is practical for as long as it is helpful. Sometimes clients need more flexibility with appointment times which I will do my best to accommodate.

Do you offer sessions on the phone or Skype?

Yes both can be accommodated

How Long Does a Session Last?

Sessions last for 55 minutes.

How Much Do You Charge?

The fee is £60.00 a session.

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

My cancellation policy is 48 hours. If you need to cancel with less notice than this the full fee is payable. However I will do my best to offer you another time within the same week at no extra cost.

Can I Come on my Own?

Counselling is effective for individuals. It may be that a partner is unwilling to attend or an individual chooses to come on their own.

Is Counselling Confidential?

All counselling is confidential, except in the rare event when I believe that someone is at risk of serious harm, in which case I am bound to contact the appropriate service. This would not be done without your knowledge.

How Do I Make an Appointment?

You can contact me by phone or email. I will always try to get back to you on the same day.
